Town of Clay Summer Playground Program Update 7.9.20
After a lot of thought and consideration, The Town of Clay has come to the conclusion that we will not be offering our Playground Program this summer. The Town’s main concern is the safety of all of our residents and the risk was determined to outweigh the possibility of providing such programs. We are very saddened to not be able to offer this program that many local children look forward to every year but look forward to seeing you all next year.
Instead of our typical Playground Program, we will continue to amplify our Virtual Recreation Center. If you have not already seen it, please check it out! We offer a variety of activities, resources and information for all age groups. This is completely free to the public. We will also be offering our weekly craft kits in greater quantities to ensure that we can accommodate, within reason, as many of our families as we can!
We have resumed many of our in-person youth programs. While we continue to monitor the COVID situation, please keep in mind that changes and cancellations can happen at any time. If you are signed up for a program and a change is made, you will be contacted by the program director. ALL participants and staff must fill out the COVID questionaire prior to attending any program. You may print this from the link below and have it ready upon arrival to expedidite all check in procedures.
Please be advised that all Town of Clay playgrounds are open at this time, however use of them is at your discretion.
Concerts are still not allowed per NYS restrictions on group gatherings. We will post updates on resuming our concerts in the park as soon as we have them.

Registration for 2020 Summer programs begins July 24th at midnight! Please check program dates and times when registering for more than one program. Several camps run on the same weeks.
This year there will be NO in person registration (if you have special circumstances, please call our office). All registrations must be completed online prior to the start of a program. Parents will be required to agree to an additional waiver regarding the COVID virus. We also will be requiring a screening questionaire from ALL staff and participants on the first day of the program. You will need to submit this for EACH program if you are signed up for more than one this summer. Children without this screening form will not be allowed to participate. We ask that this form be downloaded (see link below) and filled out prior to the camp's start to expedite the sign in process. You may also view our guidelines that will be in place this summer to ensure the cleanliness and safety of all programs and participants.
Disclaimer: There will be a non-refundable administrative fee for all online transactions. If you choose not to register and pay online by credit card, you may mail in or drop off registration waiver and alternate payment to our office. Please note that your registration will NOT be finalized until payment is received. We will only be accepting Cash, Check or Money Order in office or by mail.
Please follow instructions on the RecDesk page for creating a new member profile. All family members can be included in one profile for easier management when registering for programs. If you need assistance, please use the "HELP" button on the RecDesk site.
Sibling discounts are determined by each program director. Some programs accept them, some do not. If a program allows it, register one child at "individual" price, and the second child at "sibling discount" price. Discounts are ONLY applied when registering more than one child for the SAME PROGRAM. Discounts cannot be crossed over to different programs.
