TOWN OF CLAY NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town
Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public Hearing June 18th, 2007, commencing at 7:38 P.M., local time, at the New Town
Hall, 4401 New York State Route 31, Town of Clay, Onondaga County, New York, to
consider the application of John E. Davis and Davis Ventures, LLC for a change of zone from RA-100 Residential/Agricultural District to HC-1 Highway Commercial District, for the purpose of allowing future commercial development south of the
Clay Business Park, without access to N.Y.S Route 31 and the constructions of a road to connect
Caughdenoy and Stearns Roads south of
N.Y.S Route 31.
The properties, which are the subject of this
application, are located at 5064, 5154 and 5170 State Route 31, being
part of Tax Map Nos. 064.-01-06.1, 064.-01-09.1 and 064.-01-09.2, and shall
consist of only 52± acres of the 106± acres of said parcels, and being
bounded and described as follows: ALL THAT TRACT OR PARCEL OF
LAND
situate in the Town of Clay, County of Onondaga and State of New York, being
part of Military Lot No. 39 in said Town of Clay, bounded and described as
follows: BEGINNING at the
intersection of the centerline of N.Y.S. Route No. 31 with the centerline of
Caughdenoy Road (C.R. No. 49); running thence easterly and southeasterly along
said centerline of N.Y.S. Route No. 31, a distance of 2815 feet, more or less,
to the westerly boundary of lands conveyed to Donald W. & Richard J. Alt by
deed recorded in Book 3601 of Deeds at page 200 in the Onondaga County Clerk's
Office; thence S 04° 00' 22" W along said westerly boundary of Alt, a
distance of 1146 feet, more or less, to the centerline of a proposed road;
thence along said centerline of the proposed road the following courses and
distances: 1) N 36° 48' 27” W, 1049± feet to a point of curvature; 2)
northwesterly along a curve to the left, having a radius of 400± feet, an arc
distance of 314.0± feet to a point of tangency; 3) N 81° 48' 27" W, 1367±
feet to a point of curvature; 4) westerly along a curve to the left, having a
radius of 200± feet, an arc distance of 32± feet to a point of tangency; 5) S
88° 53’ 37” W, 194± feet to a point in said centerline of Caughdenoy Road; thence northerly along said centerline of
Caughdenoy Road, a distance of 87± feet to the southerly boundary of lands
conveyed to Jean Lois Gyatt by deed recorded in Book 3124 of Deeds at page 55
in the Onondaga County Clerk’s Office; thence easterly along said southerly
boundary of Gyatt, a distance of 190± feet to the southeasterly corner thereof;
thence northerly along the easterly boundary of said Gyatt, a distance of
108.5± feet to the northeasterly corner thereof; thence westerly along the
northerly boundary of said Gyatt, a distance of 10± feet to the southeasterly
corner of lands conveyed to James E . & Nancy L. Cox by deed recorded in
Book 3519 of Deeds at page 166 in the Onondaga County Clerk's Office; thence
northerly along the easterly boundary of Cox and the easterly boundary of lands
conveyed to Andrea L. Pieropan by deed recorded in Book 4750 of Deeds at page
251 in the Onondaga County Clerk’ Office, respectively, a distance of 285.2±
feet to the northeasterly corner thereof; thence westerly along the northerly
boundary of said Pieropan, a distance of 180± feet to a point in said
centerline of Caughdenoy Road; thence northerly along said centerline of
Caughdenoy Road, a distance of 395± feet to the point of beginning. Containing 52 acres of land, more or less.
At such time all persons interested in
said change of zone will be given an opportunity to be heard by the Clay Town
Board.
