BOWLING KID'S PROGRAM-2008 

A fun supervised open bowling program to promote healthy exercise, fun and sharpen your bowling skills in a State -of-the-Art Automatic Scoring 40-lane bowling alley.  Bumpers available on all lanes.  

Location: Flamingo Bowl, 7239 Oswego Road, Liverpool (457-7470).
Dates: Tuesdays-starting July 1st thru Aug. 12th, 2008-7 wks.

The Town of Clay Recreation Department would like to invite you to its annual summer concert series held at Clay Central Park off Wetzel Road on Tuesdays at the Ernest N. Casale Amphitheatre. 
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and coolers to enjoy great music and great times!  The popular summer Game Mobile with our trained staff will be coming to the Park during the Concerts to provide supervised fun activities for children of all ages.  This season during the concert food and refreshments will be available for purchase by area Restaurants.  There are also some picnic tables and grills available.

CREW-SYRACUSE CHARGERS ROWING-2008

Hey kids, moms and dads-get energized this summer and LEARN TO ROW! Liverpool is fortunate to have the facilities and coaching to introduce you, and your kids, to this awesome sport. Many of our graduates have gone on to row in college and beyond.

Youth Learn to Row Program:
For kids  10 years old and up with no previous rowing experience.  Learn the basics and have some fun races.  Three-week program cost $150.00.  Monday through Friday from 9:30-11:00 AM or 11:30 AM-12:30 PM.  Indicate preferred time and session. Sign up Night: Monday, June 9th from 6:00-7:30 PM.

Royal Fairy Tale Theatre of New York (RFTNY) spring session is designed  for the budding actor/actress, introducing them to the world of performing arts through drama, music, creative movement & active visual design all presented in unique & diverse program meant to bring the stage alive with every child having a speaking part!  Come celebrate our 16th Anniversary of children's theatre!

ROYAL FAIRYTALE THEATRE Summer DRAMA PROGRAM - 2008

ROYAL FAIRYTALE THEATRE DRAMA PROGRAM
This Shakespeare for Children' performing arts program features educational theatre workshops to end in a full-length costumed stage production.  The program is held at Clay Central Park on Wetzel Road on our outdoor castle stage.  The play will be an adaptations of a Shakespearean comedy - "A Midsummer Night's Dream".  Speaking roles for entire cast!  Class size limited. Plays are open to the public with lawn chair seating (bring your own chair).

SAFETY VILLAGE - 2008

A safety education/recreation program for children entering kindergarten utilizing several different recreation components to impart safety lessons concerning fires, buses, swimming pools, poisoning, stranger situations, pedestrian and bicycle safety.

Safety Village, held at Wetzel Road Elementary School. June 30th thru July 3rd (no class July 4th) and July 7th thru July 11, 2008,a two-week program, features two separate classes: 8:30 AM-10:00 AM or 10:30 AM-Noon. Fee: $40.00.  Registration may be done in person at Clay Town Hall - Recreation Office, 4401 Route 31, Clay or by phoning the Recreation Office at 652-3800. Spaces are limited.

SCIENCE CAMP FOR KIDS-2008

This camp will be a week long hands-on science program for children.  The Theme for this year will be 'Space and Motion' culminating in an optional field trip to the MOST on Friday.

Lessons will cover stroke production, positioning, strategy and more.

Intensive 30-minute fitness & drilling session followed by an hour match play!

Each program will be held at Liverpool High School.  All players are encouraged to bring recreational clothing and their own tennis racket.  If you need a racket or might want to borrow or try out a racket, contact Tennis Director, Steve Cary at 479-5808.

ONE-PLUS-ONE JUNIOR TENNIS LEAGUE:
Groups are typically divided by age (level 1 ages 9-13 and level 2 ages 13-18).  These lessons combine 45-minute of instruction with at least 45-minutes of match or modified play, provide nine 90 minute classes in a structured, professionally supervised environment.  Typically, the skill that is taught for the day is integrated into follow-up drills and games.  The two three-week lesson leagues are:

Session I: June 30th-July 25th, 2008
Session II: July 28th-August 15th, 2008
FEE: $65.00 per session
Level I Juniors-ages 13 and under-Mon./Wed./Fri.-3:30-5:00 PM.

ONE-WEEK TENNIS CLINIC:
These clinics are for all age junior players.  By using skill builders, lead up drills and fun games students learn and play tennis throughout the week.  The clinic runs Monday through Friday following the schedule below.  Groups require a minimum of 6 players.

For the tfifth year running the CNY Junior Tennis Circuit again provides tennis players the chance to compete against other players throughout the summer.  Each tournament is held from 9:00 AM until it's completion on the same day.  In the event of rain, the tournament will resume or be rescheduled at 12:00 noon on Sunday.  The following sites and events have been scheduled for this summer:

HERSHEY TRACK AND FIELD EVENT-2008

In a partnership the Town of Cicero, Town of Clay and Village of North Syracuse, will host a Hershey Track & Field Meet.  The meet is open to all children ages 9 to 14 residing in the Towns of Cicero and Clay and Village of North Syracuse.  Top finishers in each event may be eligible to advance to the State Meet and then to the National Games in Pennsylvania.  To find out more about this exciting on day meet, check out the website www.hershystrackandfield.com.  Hurry!  Registration is going on now at the Town of Cicero Youth Bureau, Parks & Recreation Office at 699-5233..

PENNY CARNIVAL-2008

PENNY CARNIVAL

Summer playground staff set up carnival games for Town of Clay youths.  Pennies will be used to play the games.  All ages welcomed!  Registration is not required.  Pizza Hut-Wingstreet Restaurant will provide food for purchase during the festivities.
