BABY-SITTER WORKSHOP:
This workshop is
designed to equip youth ages 11 and up, in emergency situations,
child supervision, safety, first aid, recreational activities,
and sitter responsibilities. If you love small children and want
to earn extra money you will want to take this course! Town of Clay Recreation Department Certificate.

We are all born natural yogis!
The younger we are, the more pliable and flexible our muscles
and joints are. YogaFit Kids™ encourages kids, to
explore their natural abilities in an active, safe and fun way
that honors the diversity of each students' flexibility and
strengths. YogaFit Kids™ is fun, playful class where kids
can move energy through their bodies and bring calm into their
minds. Parents are welcome to sign-up and take with their
children, also!

Parents & Children will have
an excellent opportunity to enjoy themselves in a gym setting as
they learn recreational activities creating an environment of physical and
social interaction through music & dance, children's games, parachute games, play
stations and theme weeks that can be brought back to the home setting. It's in a
huge gym...it's just plain fun! EST. 1988 by Town of
Clay Recreation Department.

INTRODUCTION
TO ART:
A youth Introduction to Art course. This course for youth will focus on different drawing
techniques and strategies for students interested in pursuing
the arts. Students will learn and practice their drawing
skills and learn about different artist and their styles of
drawing, painting, sculpture, illustration and cartooning.
In addition, they will experiment with different art mediums
like pencil, charcoal, watercolor, tempera paints, wood, paper
Mache, etc. Students previously enrolled, will
continue to develop their skills with new techniques, mediums
and art styles.

THEATRE WORKSHOPS: (may

Royal Fairy Tale Theatre of New York (RFTNY)
focus: Creative dramatics, characterizations, physical movement,
theatrical improvisation & stage presentation. To end
in a full length, original scripted Christmas
production-"As the Plot Dicken's". NO AUDITIONS! Limited roles available
with speaking parts for all in cast! This unique program, is structured with NYS
Learning Standards in mind.

Chaos Production focus: An
intensive theatrical improvisation/interactive teen acting
troupe with a focus on interactive street theatre

to the troupe is not only expected...but required! 'Pirate
Theatre" and Commedia dell'Arte focus with a chance to audition

CoreTONE FITNESS:
This class will focus on Core
Training using fitness bands, small equipment and mats. A
physical training and body conditioning program using the newest
information to develop strength and better range of
motion. This low impact form of exercising leads to
greater flexibility, a better degree of abdominal strength that
shores up the backs, and will strengthen and tone the entire
body. This is not an aerobics class, but more exercise
kineseology principals relating to core strength and tone using
continuous movement and proper breathing through Pilates, Yoga,
Tai-Chi, and Dance with proven fitness moves. There is the side
benefit of some cardiovascular components. All fitness
levels can do this program. You owe it to
your health! Non-marking flexible sneaker/slipper.

DOG OBEDIENCE
TRAINING:
Dog Obedience classes with
trainer Lorry Moskow of BASIC DOG TRAINING will be ongoing in five
week increments.
Ages Dogs-4 months and older or Puppy Kindergarten for ages 10-12
weeks old. Classes have been moved to CANINE's UNLEASHED, an indoor
facility. Please call Lorry at 677-4614 for formation and ask
for TOWN OF CLAY fees.

FAMILY GYM &
SWIM:
The Clay Recreation Dept. offers this
very popular winter Family Gym & Swim at Liverpool High School.
The pool will be open for the entire family's enjoyment from 6:00-8:00 PM;
while the gymnasium will host a variety of fun family activities to
include basketball relays, parachute games and much, much more from
6:00-8:00 PM.

COURSE:
It is now the law that adolescent's
ages 10-17 take the boater safety course to operate a boat in NY
State.

YOUTH SNOWMOBILE SAFETY
COURSE:
The Clay Recreation Department will sponsor a
FREE snowmobile safety course for ages 10 +. This is an
8-hour course, held at the 'Center' for Town of Clay Senior, 4948 Rte. 31. It is now the law that adolescents ages 10 to
17
take the safety course to operate a snowmobile in New York State.
Session 1-Sat. Nov.
10th, 2007-9:00 AM-5:00 PM.
Session 2-Thurs. Nov. 15th & Fri. Nov. 16th, 2007-5:00-9:00 PM both
days.

1st ANNUAL SNOWMOBILE
RIDE FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS:
The Clay Recreation Office in
conjunction with Rob Bick, Clay Assessor would like to invite children
with special needs and their parents to this first annual event. A
safe closed course and experienced drivers will be available to allow
children, ages 3-16 to enjoy the great outdoors in winter. The
event will take place on February 9th, 2008 at the Clay Town Hall from
12:00-3:00 PM.

SNOW TUBING-FOUR SEASONS:
Snow tubing for ages 8 & up
offered on Wed. Feb. 20th, 2008 from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM. Youth
may bring a lunch or purchase at Four Seasons Golf & Ski Resort
(637-9023) in Fayetteville. Bus transportation included with pick
up at 9:00 AM at Wetzel Road Elementary School and 9:15 AM at Bear Road
Elementary School. Entry Fee is $10.00 (normally $16.00) payable at

ICE SKATING:
The Cicero Twin Rinks Ice Skating Center
(752-7465) would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to their
state-of-the art facility. The Town of Clay Recreation Department
Day will be on Thurs. Dec. 27th, 2007 & Thurs. Feb. 21st, 2008 from
12:00-2:00 PM. Adults may participate too!. Just let
them know you are a Town of Clay Resident for Town of Clay Day.
