BABY-SITTER WORKSHOP:
This workshop is
designed to equip youth ages 11 and up, in emergency situations,
child supervision, safety, first aid, recreational activities,
and sitter responsibilities. If you love small children and want
to earn extra money you will want to take this course! American
Red Cross Certificate.

We are all born natural yogis!
The younger we are, the more pliable and flexible our muscles
and joints are. YogaFit Kids™ encourages kids, to
explore their natural abilities in an active, safe and fun way
that honors the diversity of each students' flexibility and
strengths. YogaFit Kids™ is fun, playful class where kids
can move energy through their bodies and bring calm into their
minds. Parents are welcome to sign-up and take with their
children, also!

EXPLORATION
ART PROGRAM:
Come and EXPLORE the wonderful world of ART! This
class will give children ages 6 to 12 the opportunity to express
their creativity through the interaction of many art
materials. The course is designed to inspore and engage
children in activities that will expose them to many different
materials, styles and forms of art while developing their fine
motor skills and freedom of artistic expression. Multiple

opportunity to explore and express their creativity.

CoreTONE FITNESS:
This class will focus on Core
Training using fitness bands, small equipment and mats. A
physical training and body conditioning program using the newest
information to develop strength and better range of
motion. This low impact form of exercising leads to
greater flexibility, a better degree of abdominal strength that
shores up the backs, and will strengthen and tone the entire
body. This is not an aerobics class, but more exercise
kineseology principals relating to core strength and tone using
continuous movement and proper breathing through Pilates, Yoga,
Tai-Chi, and Dance with proven fitness moves. There is the side
benefit of some cardiovascular components. All fitness
levels can do this program. You owe it to
your health! Non-marking flexible sneaker/slipper.

T'AI CHI CH'UAN:
Tai Chi Chuan one of the oldest
forms practiced, typically involves slow motion routines that
groups of people practice together every morning in parks around
the world. In its traditional Chinese form it involves
jumps, leaps and an explosion of strength through a circular
path. Being one with Nature! Today, it is practiced
more as a low impact, stress reduction exercise that improves
strength, circulation and memory cognition.

welcome. It is fun and easy to follow. Zumba is
exercise in disguise.

The Clay Recreation Dept. offers this
very popular Free winter Family Gym & Swim at Liverpool High School.
The pool will be open for the entire family's enjoyment from 6:00-8:00 PM;
while the gymnasium will host a variety of fun family activities to
include basketball relays, parachute games and much, much more from
6:00-8:00 PM.

YOUTH SNOWMOBILE SAFETY
COURSE:
The Clay Recreation Department will sponsor a
FREE snowmobile safety course for ages 10 +. This is an
8-hour course, held at the 'Center' for Town of Clay Senior, 4948 Rte. 31. It is now the law that adolescents ages 10 to
17
take the safety course to operate a snowmobile in New York State.

2nd ANNUAL SNOWMOBILE
RIDE FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS:
The Clay Recreation Office in
conjunction with Rob Bick, Clay Assessor would like to invite children
with special needs and their parents to this second annual event. A
safe closed course and experienced drivers will be available to allow
children, ages 3-16 to enjoy the great outdoors in winter. The
event will take place on Jan. 16, 2010 at the Clay Town Hall from
10:00AM-1:00 PM.

SNOW TUBING-FOUR SEASONS:
Snow tubing for ages 8 & up
offered on Wed. Feb. 17th, 2010 from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM Youth
may bring a lunch or purchase at Four Seasons Golf & Ski Resort
(637-9023) in Fayetteville. Bus transportation included with pick
up at 9:00 AM at Wetzel Road Elementary School and 9:15 AM at Bear Road
Elementary School. Entry Fee is $11.00 payable at

ICE SKATING:
The Cicero Twin Rinks Ice Skating Center
(752-7465) would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to their
state-of-the art facility. The Town of Clay Recreation Department
Day will be on Tues. Dec. 29, 2009 & Tues. Feb. 16, 2010. Adults may participate too!. Just let
them know you are a Town of Clay Resident for Town of Clay Day.
