SPRING 2008

Town of Clay Supervisor, James J. Rowley, and Highway Superintendent, Tom Weaver, would like to remind all town residents that the annual spring pickup will begin Monday, May 5, 2008 and end Wednesday, May 28, 2008.
Yard waste that consists of: plants, grass, leaves, together with, shrubbery, limbs and small tree trunks that are less than 8 feet long and 6 inches in diameter will be picked up. Anything larger must be sawed into blocks an average person can pick up. Heavy appliances and exclusively metal items will also be picked up at this time by a separate truck. Please pile brush and metal separately.


  

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING :


We are not allowed to pick up any REFRIGERATORS, FREEZERS, AIR CONDITIONERS, DEHUMIDIFIERS, T.V.'s, MICROWAVES, LUMBER , TIRES, FURNITURE, PLASTIC, GLASS, or any other unlisted materials.

Do Not Place Waste On The Paved Portion Of The Road or Gutter. Materials that are unacceptable must be removed from the curb or roadside. LITTER LAWS WILL APPLY!!

 

Following are the routes that our trucks will follow. Materials should be at the roadside for pickup PRIOR to these dates or they may be missed. The following dates indicate which week your items will be picked up. This does not mean on the first day only. Your particular pickup will be ONE DAY during the week of:

  

MAY 5: East of Henry Clay Blvd.: From Town of Salina and Village of N. Syracuse boundaries going north to Rt. 31. (Excluding Caughdenoy Rd. and areas north of Rt. 481.)
 

MAY 12:  West of Henry Clay Blvd.: From Town of Salina line to Rt. 31, Morgan Rd. to Rt. 31, Rt 57 North to (but not including) Soule Road.. (This area includes Bayberry, Irongate, Lynelle Meadows and all streets in between.)
 

MAY 19:  Northtown Park, Cherry Heights, Cherry Estates, Gatewood, Caughdenoy, Lawton, Stearns, Maple and Grange Roads, plus all roads north of Rt. 31Soule Rd and all streets off of Soule Rd.; Fairways East, Streamwood, Pinegate, Strawberry Runne and Cherrington West.  Everything north of Soule Rd including ParkRidge, Willowstream and Kimbrook and all Gaskin Rd developments.
 

In the following developments, Homeowners Associations have set aside specific dates:

MAY 27: Clairmont and Four Seasons development

MAY 28: Good Neighbors Homeowners Assoc.: (The area bounded by Bear, Allen and Buckley roads north of the creek.) This area includes the following streets: Armitage Dr., Audrey Dr., Daphne Dr., Jennifer Dr., Manor Dr., Newport Dr., Rene Pl., Standish Dr., White Rd., Windsor Dr.S., and the Meadow Wood Development; Falling Leaf Trail and Meadow Wood Dr.

 

 

ITEMS NOT PICKED UP BY THE TOWN CAN BE TAKEN TO LEY CREEK TRANSFER STATION:  Please refer all questions to Operation Separation at the phone number below.
