PUBLIC NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF TOWN ORDINANCE 2018-01

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the following is the title and brief description of an Ordinance duly enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Clay, in the County of Onondaga, and State of New York on April 2, 2018 and entered in its Minutes, to wit:

            ORDINANCE:  2018-01

TITLE: Ordinance 2018-01 amending Chapter 211 entitled “TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES,” §211-29 ‘Parking of certain motor vehicles and trailers prohibited in residential districts’ to the Municipal Code of the Town of Clay.

DESCRIPTION:

            Ordinance 2018-01 provides that said Chapter 211, Section 211-29 ‘Parking of certain motor vehicles and trailers prohibited in residential districts’ is amended to the Code of the Town of Clay and it is the intent of this to delete the words “gross unladen vehicle weight in excess of 10,000 pounds” and replacing with “Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) in excess of 14,000 pounds” in subparagraph D of this section.

               A copy of Ordinance 2018-01 is on file in the Town Clerk's Office at the Clay Town Hall. 

            The above Ordinance shall take effect on the tenth day after the date of publication of this Notice, provided, however, this Ordinance shall take effect from the date of its service as against a person personally served with a copy thereof certified by the Town Clerk under the corporate seal of the Town and showing the date of its passage and entry in the Minutes of the Town Board.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS FOR

WATER SERVICE INSTALLATIONS AND SYSTEM REPAIRS FOR WATER DISTRICTS 

TOWN OF CLAY

Sealed bids for the Water Service Installations and System Repairs for Water Districts contract, will be received by the Town Board, Town of Clay, Onondaga County, New York, at the office of the Town Clerk, 4401 Route 31, Clay, New York, until 11:00 A.M. Local Time, April 27th, 2018, and at said office, at said time, publicly opened and read aloud.

The project includes the construction of water services and the performance of extra and emergency repair work on water system mains and appurtenances as may be required by the Water Districts within the Town of Clay during the term of the Contract.

A hard copy of the Contract Documents consisting of the Advertisement, Information for Bidders, Bid, Agreement, General Provisions, General Specifications, Technical Specifications, and Payment Items may be obtained from C&S Engineers, Inc., 499 Col. A copy of the above-described Contract Documents may be examined at no expense at the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 4401 Route 31, Clay, New York.

This project is a Labor and Material project and the contractors should not include in their Bid the Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the project and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the municipality prior to incorporation into the project.

EACH BID MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY CASH, CERTIFIED CHECK OR LETTER OF CREDIT IN AN AMOUNT NOT LESS THAN FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE AMOUNT OF THE BID IN THE FORM AND SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS PROVIDED IN THE INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS.

The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all bids.

TOWN BOARD, TOWN OF CLAY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a Public hearing April 2, 2018, commencing at 7:35 P.M., local time, at the Town Hall, located at 4401 New York State Route 31, Town of Clay, Onondaga County, State of New York, to consider the application of JOSEPH LIGOCI, JR. AND TIMOTHY NEEDLE FOR A ZONE CHANGE from R-10 One Family Residential District to 0-1 Neighborhood Office District to allow for an Allstate Insurance Office located at 5307 W. Taft Road, Tax Map No. 113.-01-22.0, consisting of approximately 0.36± acres of land.

The property which is the subject of this application for a change of zone to 0-1 Neighborhood Office District is being more particularly bounded and described as follows: ALL THAT TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND situate in the Town of Clay, County of Onondaga and State of New York, being a part of Farm Lot #90 in said Town and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the present northerly line of West Taft Road, said point being westerly, a distance of 444.84 feet from the intersection of the centerline of West Taft Road with the easterly line of Farm Lot #90, as measured along said centerline of West Taft Road, and N.06°-25'-00"E., a distance of 37.50 feet, said point of beginning also being the northeasterly corner of lands conveyed to the County of Onondaga in Liber of Deeds #2344, at page #717, as filed in the Onondaga County Cleric's Office; Thence N.83'-39'33"W., along said northerly line of West Taft Road, a distance of 70.0 +/-feet to the northwesterly corner of said County of Onondaga lands; Thence N.06°-25'-00"E., along a line parallel to the easterly line of the Dormar Tract, a distance of 188.0 +/-feet to its intersection with the southerly line of LOT#26 of the Dormar Tract; Thence S.83°-15'-00"E., along the said southerly line of LOT #26, a distance of 70.0 feet to the southeasterly corner thereof; Thence S.06°-25'-00"W., along a line parallel to said easterly line of said Dormar Tract, a distance of 187.5 +/-feet to the point and place of beginning. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Clay will hold a public hearing March 19, 2018, commencing at 7:47 P.M., local time, at the Town Hall, located at 4401 New York State Route 31, Town of Clay, Onondaga County, State of New York, to consider the application of CRAIG KOWADLA (ANVIL & SONS, LLC) AND W. JAMES CAMPERLINO (RED BARN COUNTRY, LLC) FOR A SPECIAL PERMIT pursuant to Section 230-16B. (2) (e) [2] to allow for the construction of a new Brooklyn Pickle Restaurant located at 7175 Buckley Road, part of Tax Map No. 117.-01-06.1 & 07.0 consisting of approximately 1.26± acres of land.

The property which is the subject of this application is located on Buckley Road, and being more particularly bounded and described as follows: ALL THAT TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND, situate in the Town of Clay, County of Onondaga and State of New York, being part of Military Lot No. 90 in said Town, being part of lands conveyed to Red Barn Country LLC by deed recorded in the Onondaga County Clerk’s Office in Book 5086 of Deeds at page 859, being Lot 1 of Red Barn Commercial according to a map of said tract made by Ianuzi and Romans Land Surveying, P.C. dated February 8, 2018 and to be filed in the Onondaga County Clerk’s Office, bounded and described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the westerly boundary of Buckley Road (C.R. No. 48) as shown on said Red Barn Commercial with the southerly boundary of North Medical Center according to a map of said tract filed in the Onondaga County Clerk’s office March 29, 1989 as map No. 7042; running thence S06° 36’ 05” W along said westerly boundary of Buckley Road (C.R.
