                                                           BID NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

                                              FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE TOWN OF CLAY

HIGHWAY GARAGE AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE AREA

                                          TOWN OF CLAY, ONONDAGA COUNTY, NEW YORK

 

 

Sealed bids for the IMPROVEMENTS TO THE TOWN OF CLAY HIGHWAY GARAGE AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE AREA, will be received by the Town Board, Town of Clay, Onondaga County, New York, at the Clay Town Hall, 4401 Route 31, Clay, New York, until 11:00 A.M., Local Time, April 2nd, 2010, and there at said Town Hall, at said time, publicly opened and read aloud. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for March 18th, 2010 at 1:00 P.M., at the Town Highway garage.

 

The project, located at the Town of Clay Highway Garage, 4483 Route 31 in the Town of Clay, will consist of two contracts: Contract A: GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, consists of the replacement of the roof and siding of the Highway Garage; and Contract B: MECHANICAL, replacement of the boiler in the administration area and replacement of the heating system in the Highway Garage with infrared heating.

 

The Contract Documents consisting of the Advertisement, Information for Bidders, Bid, Agreement, General Provisions, General Specifications, Technical Specifications, and Payment Items may be obtained from C&S Engineers, Inc., 499 Col. Eileen Collins Boulevard, Syracuse, New York, 13212 upon deposit of $50.00 per set (Check Payable to C&S Engineers, Inc.). Any bidder submitting a sealed bid, upon returning the documents in good condition within thirty (30) days of the bid date will be refunded the full amount of their deposit.  Any non-bidder will not be refunded his deposit.

 

Copies of the above-described Contract Documents may be examined at no expense at the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 4401 Route 31, Clay, New York and at the office of C&S Engineers, Inc., 499 Col. Eileen Collins Boulevard, Syracuse, New York, 13212.

 

The Town of Clay is tax exempt and contractors should not include in their Bid the Sales and Compensating Use Taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the project.

 

EACH BID MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY CASH, CERTIFIED CHECK OR BID BOND IN AN AMOUNT NOT LESS THAN FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE AMOUNT OF THE BID IN THE FORM AND SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS PROVIDED IN THE INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS.

 

The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all bids.
